Before summer is in full swing, the History Book Committee met to plan their next steps.
We have presold 220 books on our way to publication.
One dilemma we have is: How many books should we get printed? Because of the cost, we need to limit numbers so make sure you prepay to secure your book. You can send a downpayment of $60.00/book to Carlyle History Book Box 2013, Carlyle, Sk. S0C 0R0 or drop it off at the Town Office. Committee members will also accept money wherever you see them.
Donations from anyone interested in the project will be recognized as sponsorship. Tax deductible receipts will be issued from the Town. Consider a donation your way of helping this important part of our community come to completion. Several businesses & individuals have already contributed. Join them! Let's raise the Main Street thermometer and meet our financial goal. If you can't help us fundraise in another way, choose the sponsorship route.
Watch for a raffle to add to our coffers. Tickets coming to a coffee group near you soon!
Histories submitted by e-mail are already typed & currently being proof read and edited. Typing of other submissions is underway managed by Audrey Brady and Beth Corrigan.
If you can accept a batch for typing, now is the time.
We recognize this is a long but important process. Help us however you can.
