It's that time again: Manor Fun Daze

A bull riding extravaganza will be held on Saturday, July 21. The 33rd Annual Manor Fun Daze, a PBR Canada event, is sure to be great entertainment for the entire family. July 22, will then see a horse show put on.

Last year at Manor Fun Daze a rider is determined the bull will not get the best of him.

A bull riding extravaganza will be held on Saturday, July 21. The 33rd Annual Manor Fun Daze, a PBR Canada event, is sure to be great entertainment for the entire family. July 22, will then see a horse show put on. Both events will be held at the Manor Sports Grounds.

The day will begin on July 21 with a pancake breakfast at 8 a.m. at the Legion Hall. Starting up at 11 a.m. is the "Skid" Clarke Memorial Slo-Pitch tournament. For more information on this tournament call Korby at 577-8884.

The Ladies "Jackpot" Barrel Racing will be held at 2:30 p.m. and will feature some fantastic riders vying for the prize. Following this event will be the beef and pork supper.

Immediately after people fill themselves with the delicious meal the PBR action will begin. Starting at 5:30 p.m. more than 25 skilled, top riders will compete for the prize, some fresh off competing at the Calgary Stampede.

During the PBR intermission the Manor Rink will conduct a draw. Tickets will be able to be purchased throughout the day around the fair grounds. The top prize that one is able to win will be a golf cart.

Following this exciting day will be the Cowboy Cabaret. This year the dance features music by the band Ten Mile High.

Throughout the day a concession booth will be in operation and beginning at 2 p.m. the beer gardens will open.

The day is not just geared towards the older crowd, kids will be able to take part in various games throughout the day and play in a variety of bouncers. At 2 p.m. a mechanical bull for the kids will hopefully be in operation and the youth can showcase their own cowboy skills.

Entry fees for the rodeo grounds are set at $15 for adults, $5 for 12 and under, and free for anyone 6 and under.

The horse show on July 22 will begin at 10 a.m. Allowing a small sleep-in after a night of fun at the Cowboy Cabaret. Admission for the horse show will be $4.
