Residents may have a chance to see a part of their community revived with Joey?s Seafood Restaurants, which launched their Community Revival Project Contest on July 1.

From July through the end of October, eligible Canadian residents can nominate any project or idea that will revive their Canadian community for a chance to win a share of $25,000.

?Last year we celebrated our 25th year by giving back and reviving a Canadian community (in Kamloops),? said Joey?s Marketing Manager Dave Holland. ?Our second Community Revival Project Contest will benefit more groups with more prizes.?

The first step for anyone who wants to enter the contest is to imagine a project that could help revive a community, group, facility or charity that can have a lasting benefit to others. Then get the permission of the cause or group, prepare a short YouTube-type video, write a short story about why the project should be selected to receive a cash prize and take a photo or two. Nominations will be received until 5p.m. EST on October 31.

Eligible voters can make their choice online between November 1 and November 30. The top three projects with the most votes will receive cash prizes of $15,000 (first place), and $4,000 (second and third place) and the chance to improve an aspect of their community that needs it.
