Lake Alma couple have lunch guests

Lake Alma (cpd) - Marie and Don Jacobson of Regina were lunch guests with Clare and Ida Offet at Weyburn on Feb. 20 and they all attended the funeral of Gladys Torkelson at Zion Lutheran Church. They returned home that evening.

Myrna Lohse and Melissa were supper guests with Duane and Delores Larsen in Weyburn on Feb. 21.

Andy and Jeff Littlejohn of Midale gave birth to a son, Thomas Patrick, weighing seven pounds six ounces on Feb. 18. He is a brother to Alex, a grandson to Pat and Leanne Doud of Maxim and a great grandson to Don and Dene Temple of Weyburn.

The Terry, Russell and Kirk Torkelson families received word of the passing of their mother, grandmother and great grandmother, Gladys Torkelson, on Feb. 15, at the age of 97 years. Gladys was a resident of Hill Top Manor since 2008, but most of her life was spent in Beaubier. She taught school for 26 years and was a talented pianist. Funeral service was held at Zion Lutheran Church in Weyburn on Feb. 20 with Pastor Martin Olson officiating. Burial was at Beaubier Cemetery.

Clare and Ida Offet travelled to Moosomin on Feb. 22 where they spent until Friday with Curtis while Deena and the family spent time in Regina with her parents, Marg and Harold Blackmore.

They took Curtis to Regina on Friday for a medical appointment and then they stayed overnight with Don and Marie Jacobson and Curtis and Deena and family returned to Moosomin. The Offets returned home on Saturday.
