Lake Alma residents visit family, friends over the holidays

Lake Alma (cpd) - Clare and Ida Offet traveled to Regina on Dec. 21 where they had an early Christmas with Suzanne and Rick Brown, Darcie and Janessa Bell and Jessica and Rachel Brown, Craig and Charmaine Offet, Courtney Offet and Eli Minion.



Lake Alma (cpd) - Clare and Ida Offet traveled to Regina on Dec. 21 where they had an early Christmas with Suzanne and Rick Brown, Darcie and Janessa Bell and Jessica and Rachel Brown, Craig and Charmaine Offet, Courtney Offet and Eli Minion. They returned to Weyburn on Dec. 22 and reloaded their van and motored on to Moosomin where they had an early Christmas with Deena Offet, Callie, Jensen, Cael and Tahlaya and Todd Volk.

Deena had made arrangements for Santa to visit their home early as they were going to Regina to spend from December 24 to 28 with her parents and her sister Juliann and husband Barry Whitney from Toronto who arrived late Christmas Eve.

The Offets then traveled to Regina on Dec. 25 where they spent the day at the Senior Centre of St. Peter's Catholic Church with Craig and Charmaine, Courtney and Eli, and other members of Charmaine's family. The Offets returned home to Weyburn Christmas night.

Clare and Ida Offet spent from Dec. 31 to Jan. 2 in Regina with her sister, Marie and Donald Jacobson. On New Year's Day they enjoyed a visit with Kevin Jacobson and Diane Glennie and Craig and Charmaine Offet who stopped by the Jacobson's.

Lorraine Roysum and Beverly Locken of Weyburn and Gwen Kauffman of Regina flew to Calgary on Dec. 19. Beverly's daughter, Marlys and Raymond Kuntz met her and took her to their home at Claresholm, while Lorraine and Gwen were taken to Carstairs to Deb and Kitch Milford's where they helped Deb celebrate her birthday.

The Milford's, Gwen and Lorraine went to visit Riley and Teresa Milford, Lucas and Issac at Bentley, Alta., on Dec. 21. They watched the boys play hockey. After church on Dec. 22, they went to visit Lorraine's niece, Rennette Hudon, whose mother had passed away recently and Laurie Ann Belanger joined them for a visit also. Gwen flew back to Regina from Calgary that evening.

Lorraine, Deb and Kitch spent Christmas Eve and Christmas Day with the Riley Milford's and returned to Carstairs early on Boxing Day.

Rayann and Jeremy Zubiak arrived from Cold Lake, Alta. on Dec. 20 at the Kuntz home at Claresholm and spent until Dec. 23 along with other family members from Okotoks. Boxing Day Marlys and Beverly spent the day in Lethbridge.

On Dec. 27 Beverly met Lorraine and Kitch and Deb Milford in Calgary and went with them to Carstairs and spent the night. Beverly and Lorraine flew to Regina on Dec. 28 where they were met by Brent and Gwen Kaufmann who brought them back to Weyburn and spent some time visiting with Brent's parents, Joe and Nina Kaufmann.

Ken and Wanda Johnson were Weyburn goers on Dec. 19 where Ken joined Dale Petersen and Marlynn Whitteron for supper. Wanda joined Avis Field, Jeanette Whitteron, Evelyn Corbin, Mabel Larsen, Darlene LaFoy, Linda Redpath, Audrey Mickel, Carol Schlosser, Freda Lillejord, Cathy Field, Corine Pindus, Carol Froh and Ida Offet for supper and then they visited with Evelyn Corbin.

The Johnsons stayed over with their daughter Joanne and Brian Maas and Jaxon and traveled to Regina on Dec. 20 where they visited with Laura and Allan Larsen. They returned to Weyburn that day and were joined on the weekend at the Maas's home for an early Christmas with their son Trevor and Dawn Johnson and family from Melfort.

Roy and Myrna Lohse joined Brandon and Paula Lohse and Melissa Lohse at Delores and Duane Larsen's home in Weyburn for Christmas Day dinner.

Brandon and Paula left for Calgary, Alta., after the meal to spend time with her relatives.

Boxing Day dinner guests with Roy and Myrna Lohse were Faye and Don Mantei of Estevan, Delores and Duane Larsen and Melissa Lohse of Weyburn and Larry and Eleanor Skjerdal.

Garnet and Elaine Roysum had all their family home for Christmas Day.

Joining them also was Leonard Vandevelt of Trossachs. Kaybree and Olivia Fonstad stayed until Dec. 27 when Elaine took them home to Oxbow and stayed a few days.
