Lomond 4-H hold public speaking event

The Lomond 4-H held their February meeting on February 17. The group discussed upcoming events, including the Regina Spring Show for 4-H club members. The upcoming steak fundraiser and public 4-H speeches were also discussed.

The 4-H speeches were held in Tribune on February 17. The judges were Katie Bloor, Janelle Wimmer and Delila Jahn-Thue.

The winners for Clover bud group were Colby Durr in first place and Mason Thackeray in second. In the Junior group, Imogene Underwood placed first and Josey Robinson placed second. In the Intermediate group, Mikayla Lohse won first and Shane McKenzie won second. In the Senior group, Tony Underwood placed first and Kylie Hutt placed second.

Another regular meeting was held on March 12. Two Clover buds, Casey Weisbeck and Gus Weisbeck, said their speeches and did real well, as they were unable to attend the night speeches that were scheduled.

Kaylee McKenzie gave a report on the Regina Spring 4-H Show, which she attended along with her steer and heifer. She said it was a good show and was enjoyed by all.

A steak supper was discussed at the March meeting, which has been scheduled for April 15 at the Tribune Hall. Everyone is invited to come and join the Lomond club for a great supper and a great evening.
