Residents were encouraged to bring in any items that cannot be safely disposed of in the landfill, everything from fluorescent light bulbs and Ni-Cad batteries, to acids, bases, cleaners, aerosol cans, flammable liquids, adhesives and even old propane tanks. Around 75 city residents brought in items, with over 15 205-litre barrels filled or partially filled.
