Lotto win for Carlyle resident

One good turn may deserve another, but Aaron Lutz wasn't expecting anything in return for shoveling snow and helping his girlfriend's mother around the house.

One good turn may deserve another, but Aaron Lutz wasn't expecting anything in return for shoveling snow and helping his girlfriend's mother around the house. The Carlyle received a Scratch 'n' Win lottery ticket as thanks for his help and was understandably shocked when he won $100,000!

Aaron was at his girlfriend's house for dinner when her mother gave him a $20 player's choice mega pack to show her appreciation. After the meal, he opened the pouch containing 10 scratch 'n' win games and started scratching.

"I thought, 'No way!'" Aaron remembered of uncovering the game's top prize. "I was in total disbelief!"

In addition to paying off his vehicle and possibly setting a portion aside towards buying a house, Aaron said he may use some of his winnings to travel in the future.

The winning ticket was purchased at Kitscoty Bigway Foods in Kitscoty, Alberta.
