The blacking out of a full moon by the shadow of the Earth is shown in a series of photos taken late Apr. 14 into early Apr. 15 at Weyburn, as the lunar phenomenon was visible throughout the Western Hemisphere. The unusual aspect of this phenomenon is that this is the first of four lunar eclipses that Canadians will be able to see over the next 18 months, a series known as a tetrad; the next ones will occur on Oct. 8, followed by Apr. 4 and Sept. 28, 2015.
