A parade was a highlight of Manor Fun Daze this year

Manor Professional Bull Riders took place on July 24 during the Manor Fun Daze celebrations.

Organizers were overwhelmed with the support shown by the crowds, as they had more people come than they ever expected.

The Manor Fun Daze this year consisted of a parade in the morning, hosted by the fire department, as well as a ball tournament which lasted all day. However, one of the greatest attractions this year was the Professional Bull Riders rodeo.

In total there were 17 bull riders who each rode twice during the event. In the end, it was Nick Tetz who came out as victor. There was also a junior bull riders competition, which Cody Fitzpatrick won.

Overall, the event was a great success, drawing crowds from all over the area surrounding Manor. Normally, for the barbecue beef and pork dinner that is served on the rodeo grounds, the organizers plan for about 250 people. However, this year there was an astounding amount, to the point where they ended up serving around 370 people.

Rylan Weir, one of the organizers, explained that there were way more people than they were expecting, and they had completely run out of food and drinks before the bull riding had ended. They were simply overwhelmed by the support and by the crowds.

“We had so many people that they ate us out of all our food. We had absolutely zero food left…it was unbelievable … we haven’t had a year where there’s been anybody like that in Manor in a long time. It was just unbelievable the amount of support and people that came out.”

Weir explained that the organizers were thankful for the amazing show of support, not only by those who came for the entertainment and food, but also for the volunteers and sponsors who made the event possible.

“We sure appreciate all the people coming out to support the bull riding, but most of all, our sponsors. We have to give a big shout out to the sponsors and the volunteers, because without them this wouldn’t happen.”
