Kevin Guang has been in the restaurant business for the past 10 years. He enjoys sharing his Chinese and Western cuisine with people and has recently moved to Manor to provide this service to the community.
He is no stranger to southeastern Saskatchewan as his restaurant, Kevin's Hamburger House, has been located in Estevan and Oxbow previously.
Lately he has returned to the southeast from Mississauga, ON, which he found not to be quite the right fit.
He, therefore, decided to buy the restaurant in Manor to once again establish his delicious eatery in Saskatchewan.
"People here are warm, in Ontario they seemed colder and I feel very welcomed here," Guang stated.
Renovations have taken about two weeks to become ready for his grand opening which was held on Thursday, Nov. 1.
"Lots of work has been done, it was not in very good shape when I first got it," Guang explained.
The grand opening saw many people attend from across the area. Though the heating is not working as well as need be, nobody was deterred and they look forward to again returning to Kevin's Hamburger House.
"Lunch was very busy, there were two full seatings," Guang happily stated.
Everyone seemed to be quite pleased by the food and many were glad to exclaim it was delicious or great.
"To walk out full and happy, this is my wish," Guang explained of his establishment.
Everything from appetizers, soups and salads, to sandwiches, hamburgers and a variety of Chinese dishes Guang caters to everyone including senior's plates.
"Thank you all, everyone here and in this area, I've been in this area for 10 years and am looking forward to the future," Guang stated.
"I try to do my best and make good food for the community here... If there's anything wrong, let me know, don't feel bad, just tell me," Guang explained, as he wants your dining experience to be the best it can.
Judy Beaton is currently his only waitress, "she is a very good worker!" exclaimed Guang.
Welcoming everyone to Manor, Guang is located on Main Street and is excited to see how his business will do in the area.
