Midale (cpd) - The M.O.R.E. 2000 Auction is quickly approaching. For those who don't know, there are actually three auctions going throughout the night. There are tables set up with around one hundred different items for you to bid on.
Midale (cpd) - The M.O.R.E. 2000 Auction is quickly approaching. For those who don't know, there are actually three auctions going throughout the night. There are tables set up with around one hundred different items for you to bid on. There will be a live auction to bid on special items, including a Brooks Laich autographed jersey. Brooks is from Wawota and plays for the Washington Capitals in the NHL.
The other auction is a dutch auction. You bid so much money and get tickets for your bid for a chance to win the dutch auction items. The big Dutch Auction package is worth $5,000 and has been donated by Audio Video Unlimited in Estevan and the Midale Credit Union. It includes an LG 47" LED TV, Plateau Balance Expresso TV stand and an Elran three-piece theatre seating. The second item is a trip for two to Las Vegas for four nights or $800 cash in lieu of the trip. If you would like to reserve a table, donate any items or would like more information, please call Catrina Moldenhauer. Tickets are on sale at most local businesses or by calling Catrina to reserve them.
Today, April 4, will be Pink Day, "Bullying Stops Here", at Midale Central School. This is a celebration against bullying in Saskatchewan and the Midale School Community Council will be providing all the children with free pizza this day.
Elementary and high school report cards will be issued today, April 4. Interviews will be held Apr. 4 from 3:15 p.m. to 8 p.m. Elementary student/parent/teacher conferences have scheduled interview times, while high school student/parent/teacher conferences are on a come-and-go basis.
Adult badminton will run every Tuesday from 7-9 p.m. Admission is $2. Everyone is welcome. Adult badminton will run as long as enough adults warrant it running.
Due to the warm weather, Mission Ridge is closed for the season. Therefore, the grade 5-12 ski trip to Mission Ridge has been cancelled. Refunds have been sent home.
This is a reminder that a separate pair of gym shoes are required for phys. ed. As stated on the supply list, two pair of runners are required, one for inside and one for outside.
There will be a bike rodeo for the elementary students on Wednesday, Apr. 25.
