Missing Bienfait area man found

Update: Dec. 5, 2012 Steven James Schnell, the Bienfait resident who was reported missing yesterday by the RCMP, has been found safe. Schnell is apparently in Midale and has been in contact with the police.

Steven Schnell of Bienfait has been reported missing and the RCMP are asking for the public's help to locate him.

Steven James Schnell, the Bienfait resident who was reported missing yesterday by the RCMP, has been found safe. Schnell is apparently in Midale and has been in contact with the police.


Estevan RCMP are asking for the public's help to locate a missing man from the Bienfait area.

Steven James Schnell, 52, was last seen leaving his home on December 1 at 5 a.m. At the time he left his residence, Schnell was supposed to be going to his workplace in Estevan, but never arrived.

He was reported as missing to the RCMP on Monday night.

Schnell is described as 5'5" tall, 160lbs, slender, salt and pepper hair and has blue eyes. He was last seen wearing blue jeans, a black hoodie, black toque and workboots.

Schnell lives outside of Bienfait which is also the last place he was seen. He drives a red 2011 GMC Sierra pickup truck with Saskatchewan plate 839 GSN and is known to frequent Moose Jaw. He may also have traveled to Warren, Manitoba, but inquires in that area have been negative.
