The masked task force finishes checking off the students they "silly stringed" following Mission Impossible Mondays at Gordon F. Kells.

On Monday, Jan. 7 before the start of the school day two hoodlums raced around spraying silly string on random students. Don't worry though, it was all planned and the students knew it may happen to them.

The Student Council decided to do a fun activity to involve students in, which has been going since December. Students were introduced to the idea at the beginning of December and were able to decline participation; but, overall it has been widely received and is something the students are thoroughly enjoying.

Mission Impossible Monday's as they are called begin with the selection of four random students. From there two people with silly string take off running to home rooms to get their targets. Now the students who are targeted that day also win a free muffin, so they are not "silly stringed" for nothing.

It is a safe activity that the kids seem to love as laughing can be heard emanating through the halls as the two masked students complete their mission.

In the end their targets are checked off as having won a free muffin on poster boards that two grade sevens made.

Another fun event they like to compete in is "Jam the Can." This line is randomly called out over the intercom by Mrs. Rutten. At this time the students then race to the washrooms where they attempt to fit as many students as possible into them.

The activities are simply a fun and interesting way to keep the students engaged and interacting within the school.
