With the mild weather and Spring-like temperatures, many are thinking of (and partaking in) the simple pleasures of the Spring season.

Tom Woodhouse, one of the organizers of Moose Mountain Cruisin' is seen here at the event in 2010. Due to the poor conditions last year, the cruise had to be cancelled, but Woodhouse is promising this year will make up for the lost time as the 5th annual cruise comes rolling into the region this May.

With the mild weather and Spring-like temperatures, many are thinking of (and partaking in) the simple pleasures of the Spring season.

For those who's list of favourite warm weather activities include cruisin' the roads in classic or custom cars, the area will soon be filled with like-minded people.

The Fifth Annual Moose Mountain Cruisin' is now set to go on the May long weekend, a sure sign that summer is on the way.

Last year, the signature event was cancelled due to the extremely wet condition the area witnessed, however the forecast for this year calls for drier conditions, with a good chance of classic car.

Tom Woodhouse, one of the organizers of the event, is looking forward to the cruise this year.

"It was a tough decision to cancel it last year, but the grounds we usually camp on was flooded out," Woodhouse said. "This year I think we'll be kind of back with a vengeance, and I know a lot of people are really looking forward to it."

The Moose Mountain Cruisin' is organized partly through the Estevan Antique Car Club, and draws attendees from throughout the region.

Kicking off on May 18th this year, the first evening will be dedicated to a hot dog roast and some time for meeting other event attendees.

Saturday is a big day, with games and a breakfast in the morning, followed by a mystery tour to points unknown.

After the tour, there will be some free time before the evening events; the first of which will be a movie at the Prairie Dog Drive-In, followed by a wind-down campfire back at the Manor Fair Grounds.

Sunday will begin much the same as Saturday, with a continental breakfast, followed by games which include on of the favourites of the event, the Moose Mouse Race.

Sunday afternoon will be taken up by a show n' shine, scheduled at the Carlyle A&W.

The show n' shine is an open public event, and everyone is welcome to come and see the impressive selection of classic and custom cars that assemble.

Two years ago there were more than 100 vehicles that came out for the show n' shine.

Sunday night will wind down with a barbeque and fire.

Monday morning there will again be a breakfast, this time prepared by the Manor Museum, and the event will close afterwards.

Registrations for past year's visitors are now in the mail, and registration information is available online at www.moosemountaincruisin.ca
