The Weyburn and Yellow Grass Housing Authorities have appointed new directors to their boards.
Don Shumlich and Myron Fletcher have been reappointed to the Weyburn Housing Authority Board of Directors. Other members of the board of directors are John Lawrence, Peggy York, Shelley Hoium and Rochelle Wendt. Lawrence is chairperson.
Christine Calderbank joins Ronna Shugart, Cheryl Watson and Richard Murray on the board of directors for Yellow Grass.
The Weyburn Housing Authority provides daily management of 317 housing units and the Yellow Grass Housing Authority provides the management of 15 housing units constructed and operated under the terms of a federal, provincial, and municipal cost sharing agreement.
"This local hands-on approach ensures that the Saskatchewan Housing Corporation responds effectively to the needs of each community," said Social Services Minister, June Draude.
Saskatchewan has a network of 271 housing authorities and more than 1,400 volunteer members who assist with management of housing units throughout the province for seniors, low income families and persons with disabilities.
Applications for accommodation are available from the housing authorities.
