Operations resume at Regina airport after Cessna incident

Cessna plane was disabled on the runway at Regina airport, had to be cleared.

REGINA - Operations are back to normal at Regina International Airport following a runway incident with a disabled Cessna aircraft.

In a Twitter post, the airport reported that at approximately 12:20 p.m. a privately owned Cessna aircraft was disabled on runway 13-31. There was one person on board and no injuries reported.

Runway 13-31 was closed, with crews working on removal of aircraft. Runway 08-26 was still active during this time.

At about 1:15 p.m. Regina airport reported the situation has been resolved and the aircraft removal has been completed. Normal operations have resumed at the airport.
