A large crowd has turned out for the premier's visit at the Dennis Moore Centennial Park.

ESTEVAN - Saskatchewan Premier Scott Moe has been in Estevan on Wednesday for a meet-and-greet barbecue at the Dennis Moore Centennial Park.

Moe is visiting with members of the community and answering their questions about issues relevant to the Energy City. Many of the questions dealt with the future of the energy sector in the province, including coal-fired power, carbon capture and storage and the potential for small modular nuclear reactors.

A large crowd has turned out for the event, as they want to chat with Moe and enjoy a lunch prepared by the Rotary Club of Estevan.

The premier address many of those issues, and others, while meeting with the media afterwards.

Once he finished up, Moe stopped by Estevan Diversified Services to view the facility's wood-working shop. Then he headed to Oungre to tour the Oungre Memorial Regional Park.

This was Moe's second visit to Estevan in the past three months. The previous visit was with local elected officials and other community leaders.

This was his first visit in which the public was invited for several years.

More to come.
