Report from the Weyburn Police Service for the week of January 30 to February 5:

During the reporting period, police had 76 calls for service. It was a very busy week for officers, who were called to deal with impaired drivers, violent assaults and a reported robbery.

*February 5, police were called to the Canalta Hotel for a reported robbery. Investigation showed that a male went behind the front counter and stole a cash box and money. The male was described as being in his late 20s, scruffy, Caucasian and wearing a hat and sun glasses and rig coveralls with yellow stripes. He left the hotel in what was described as a white Dodge truck with a push type grill guard. There was a female in the truck described as being in her 20s with longer hair. There were no injuries reported and the suspect was not armed.

*On February 4, after noticing some erratic driving, officers on patrol arrested a local male. He was charged with driving while over .08.

*Police received a call about an intoxicated male standing in front of a house yelling. Police attended and the matter was resolved without further incident.

*Police were called to deal with a male who was threatening suicide. The male was transported to hospital for treatment.

*Police were called to a local residence to investigate an assault in progress. As a result a local male was arrested and charged for assault and damaging property. He was released on non contact conditions. The matter is still under investigation.

*On February 3, police were called to a report of a fight at a local bar. The matter was resolved without incident.

*Police officers on patrol stopped a vehicle that was driving erratically. The male driver was arrested and charged for driving while over .08

*Police were called to report of damage to a vehicle, which was parked outside a residence in the city when two tires were slashed and a mirror was broken off of it. The matter is under investigation.

*On February 2, police were called to a local fast food restaurant to investigate damage to a drive through menu board. The matter is under investigation.

*On February 1, police were called to a local bar to remove an intoxicated male who was acting strangely. The matter was resolved without incident.

*Police were called to investigate a possible credit card fraud, the matter is currently under investigation.

*On January 31, as a result of a traffic complaint of erratic driving, a male was stopped and arrested on an outstanding warrant.

*As a result of a traffic complaint a male was arrested and charged with possessing a firearm without a license.

*Police were called to a local restaurant to investigate a harassment complaint, the matter is under investigation.

*On January 30, police were called to a local residence to remove an intoxicated male. The male left on his own accord and the matter was resolved.

*A local male reported to police that he had been assaulted. The matter is under investigation.

*Police were called to investigate a report of a theft from a vehicle, the matter is under investigation.
