On August 6 at approximately 1:22 a.m., police were called to a single motor vehicle accident on the 1300 block of Park Avenue in Weyburn, involving a black four door truck. The investigation revealed the vehicle had been traveling east on Park Avenue and struck a tree. Upon police arrival, the engine area of the vehicle was found to be on fire. The Weyburn Fire Department and Weyburn Emergency Medical Services attended the scene. Two 19-year-old males were transported to Weyburn General Hospital and later transferred to Regina for further medical attention. Both males sustained serious injuries but are believed to be in stable condition. The cause of the accident is still under investigation.
