Police investigating two thefts this week

Thefts occurred from a yard and from a business.

ESTEVAN - Members of the Estevan Police Service are investigating a couple of thefts that were reported on Thursday.

Police received a report of theft from a yard in the east end of the city. The matter is still under investigation. Police ask the public to report any suspicious person wandering around the neighbourhood.

Officers received a report of a theft from a local business. The matter is also under investigation.

Police were notified of vehicles speeding a residential alleyway. Members spoke to contractors in the area an warned them of the speed limit in alleys.

Members received a request to do a well-being check on an Estevan individual on Nov. 2. Officers attended and connected the individual with services that can help.

Police received a report of somebody failing to remain at the scene of an accident. Officers attended and learned the matter was not a fail to remain, as the individual responsible left their name and contact number on the vehicle. The matter was referred to SGI.

Officers had a request from an individual to help them get back into their residence as they were locked out. Police were able to assist.

Police were notified of someone banging on the outside of a residence during the night. Members attended and were unable to locate anyone.
