Weyburn Police Service is investigating an accident at the intersection of Government Road and Highway 39 on June 22. Police say an eastbound vehicle and a southbound vehicle collided in the intersection. A 35-year-old female driver was transported to Weyburn General Hospital with undetermined injuries.
Police responded to a complaint of a fight in the Riverwood area on June 21. Two males, aged 23 and 24 were evicted from a party and ended up in a fight with other individuals from the party. Police separated those involved and removed the two males. No criminal charges were laid as a result of the fight.
A westbound vehicle failed to stop at the stop sign on 5th Street and struck a northbound vehicle on June 21. Police say the driver of the west bound vehicle was charged for failing to stop at the stop sign.
The Weyburn Police Service received a call regarding a vehicle roll over near the Pioneer Elevator on June 20. The vehicle was located by police though the occupants were not at the scene. Upon police investigation, they located the driver and passenger of the vehicle at a residence in Weyburn.
The circumstance of the accident is being investigated by the RCMP. There were no injuries in the accident.
Police received a complaint of a vehicle driving erratically on June 19. The complainant stated the suspect vehicle was braking hard behind the complainant's vehicle while driving on the street. The investigation located the offending vehicle and 26-year-old male was warned about his driving actions.
Officers, while on patrol, stopped a vehicle on 3rd St South. The driver exhibited signs of driving while under the influence of alcohol and was subsequently brought in to the Police Office for a breath test. The 23-year-old male driver was issued a 24 hour suspension as a result of his readings on June 19.
Police responded to an attempted break and enter on King Street on June 19. Both the front and rear door handles were damaged; however, entry was not gained to the house. The incident is under investigation.
Weyburn Police Service assisted the RCMP at an accident on Highway 39 near Ralph. A semi tractor trailer unit had collided with an SUV on June 19. The accident is being investigated by the RCMP.
Police received a complaint of a vehicle leaving a business in which two children were sharing the same seatbelt on June 18. The vehicle was located the following day and the driver was not wearing a seatbelt. He was issued a seatbelt ticket and he was also warned about the complaint from the previous day.
A 15-year-old female reported that two 17-year-old males had stolen her roller blades and long board on June 17. An officer located the 17-year-olds, retrieved the items and returned them to the complainant. The situation was mediated without criminal charges being laid.
Officers responded to a domestic disturbance on 8th Street on June 16. It was determined that an argument had taken place between a 22-year-old male and a 17-year-old female. The female had already left the residence upon police arrival. There were no allegations of criminal behavior and with the parties separated there was no further action needed.
