Police members encountered a 19-year-old female whoshowed signs ofbeing extremely intoxicated on Aug. 4. One member knew this person and this was very out of character. As a result a drug test was taken showing positive forGHB which is related to the 'date rape' drug family of drugs. This matter is actively under investigation.
Police urge bar patrons, especially females, to be very cautious of whom they associate with at the bars. They also urge people to always have control of their alcohol and if they leave a glass or container unattended to stop drinking from that and order a new drink.

The police were called to a report of a shoplifter from a local business on Aug. 12. The investigation revealed that a 17-year-old female had stolen numerous articles. A charge of theft against the 17-year-old female was laid.
TheWeyburn Police Service are investigating a complaint of fraud relating to a residential alarm company.
They remind citizens that when dealing with door-to-door salespeople they are governed by the Direct Sellers Act. They must produce a valid provincial licence and a city licence when asked. The buyer also has 10 days from the date of any contract that is sign to cancel out of the deal with a full refund of money paid.
The police were called to the skateboard park as a result of a complaint of people consuming alcohol on Aug. 16. A 27-year-old male was charged with having open liquor in public and issued a ticket.
TheWeyburn Police conducted a roving check stop program for drinking drivers on Aug. 17. Numerous vehicles were checked. As a result a 32-year-oldWeyburn male was charged with driving over .08 and with impaired driving and will make a court appearance.
The police were called to a report of a fight at a local bar on Aug. 17. The confrontation was over upon police arrival. A 24-year-old male and a 21-year-old male were involved.
Neither person was co-operative in terms of the investigation. As a result no charges will be laid.
The police received a report of a theft from a motor vehicle that was left parked at a local bar. Stolen was a small redSTIBILA air compressor. Anyone with information on this theft are asked to contact the police or Crime Stoppers.
Meanwhile, the Fillmore RCMP responded to an accident on Aug. 12 on Highway 35, about two miles north of Francis.
The accident involved a single motor vehicle, which lost control at the portion of the highway where it turns from pavement to gravel, as the vehicle entered the gravel part of the road, and rolled into the east ditch.
The fire and rescue from Weyburn and Qu'Appelle responded, along with EMS from Indian Head.
The female driver of the vehicle, and a female passenger, were both taken to Regina by ambulance for non-life-threatening injuries. The investigation remains ongoing.
