Saskatchewan Premier Brad Wall is helping out with the Salvation Army's Christmas fund-raising efforts. He has created an iKettle on his website at www.premier.gov.sk.ca. It's an easy way to donate to the Salvation Army Kettle Campaign.

Upon entering the Premier's web, participants can click on the Salvation Army on-line Christmas Kettle. Donations made to the premier's iKettle will stay in the community nearest to the donor.

Wall said he appreciates the work of the Salvation Army in Saskatchewan. He noted that in his home community of Swift Current, the Salvation Army provides many needed services including the food bank.

Hundreds of Canadian businesses and organizations are taking part in the iKettle program.

Participants can host and customize their own iKettle web page and then invite others via email to donate and fill their iKettle. Once a donation is received, the on-line system automatically generates an official, government-approved tax receipt accompanied by an email thanking the donor for their support.

Those who donate to this worthy cause are helping support access to basic rights, such as nutritious food, health care, education and economic opportunity.

Anyone who would like to start their own on-line Kettle can go to www.fillthekettle.com.
