The Weyburn Chamber of Commerce was forced to cancel their annual President's Dinner and Golden Spike Award presentation on March 11 due to the weather.

"We are sorry for any inconvenience this may cause and we do apologize," said Chamber Manager Jeff Richards. "The Chamber certainly does not wish to put anyone's safety at risk, and although Saskatchewan winters can be frustrating, we can be very grateful for our weather conditions when we look at the global news this day."

Richards said that the evenings' guest speaker, John Gormley, has indicated that he would be glad to reschedule the event for a later date.

The Chamber has rescheduled the President's Dinner and Golden Spike presentation for April 29.
