Lexington and Bailey Roy are entranced by the light thrown by candlelight in the pumpkin they helped carve with dad, Richy Roy, and mom Melinda Mintenko, at the family pumpkin carving activity on Thursday evening. Hosted by the Weyburn Public Library, a total of 70 people took part, the most ever, using up almost all of the 46 pumpkins that were available for carving. The carving was done to help families prepare for Halloween trick-or-treating, which will take place on Thursday, Oct. 31, when ghosts and goblins take to the streets.
