(L-R) C.U.P.E. 5999 president Sandra Seitz and Safely Home coordinator Randy Bakkaluk presented Weyburn Humane Society representative Kelly Eddy with a cheque for $3,405 on August 21. The donation was collection from the proceeds of the Safely Home Raffle and will go toward the purchase of ID micro chips for the shelter's animals upon adoption.

Jackie Wilson was the lucky winner of the Safely Home raffle draw on August 21. During the past month 385 tickets were sold to raise funds for the Weyburn Humane Society. The Wilsons will enjoy the Rider Labour Day Classic, a one night stay at the Chateau Regina Hotel and a $100 gift card for The Keg.

"Depending on how the game goes, they'll be able to celebrate a victory or drown their sorrows," said Randy Bakkaluk, raffle organizer.

The total amount raised was $3,405, which will go toward the purchase of ID micro chips for the shelter's animals, to be installed upon each animal's adoption.
