RCMP Major Crimes Unit assists Weyburn police to find missing woman

RCMP and the Weyburn police are combining efforts to find Frances Gazeley, who is still missing, and is not with her son, Shane Burrows.

WEYBURN – The Saskatchewan RCMP’s Major Crimes Unit is assisting the Weyburn Police Service in their efforts to locate Frances Gazeley of Weyburn.

Gazeley, 77, has not been located. She has not been physically seen since December 6 or 7.

Frances is described as being 5’6” tall with blue eyes and grey hair. She requires medication that she does not have with her. Frances may be wearing a purple or blue-ish winter coat and short black boots.

If anyone has information on Frances’ whereabouts, please contact Weyburn Police Service immediately by calling 306-848-3250 or call your nearest RCMP Detachment. If you wish to make an anonymous tip, you can call Crime Stoppers at 1-800-222-8477.

In the meantime, her son, Shane Burrows, 51, the Chevrolet Cavalier and dog have been located. It has been confirmed Frances is not with Mr. Burrows. 

Saskatchewan RCMP’s Major Crimes Unit is assisting Weyburn Police Service with this ongoing investigation and both agencies are concerned for her wellbeing.

There was an increased police presence on the 1000 block of Regina Avenue in Weyburn in relation to this investigation throughout the day Wednesday. At this time, police cannot confirm whether this missing person investigation is suspicious in nature.
