RCMP Report

Between March 22 and March 28 the RCMP responded to 37 calls. On March 22 there was a complaint reported of fraudulent use on a credit card. A business credit card had been used for several transactions in and outside of Canada.

On March 22 there was a complaint reported of fraudulent use on a credit card. A business credit card had been used for several transactions in and outside of Canada. RCMP are investigating with the assistance of the Commercial Crimes Unit based in Regina.

RCMP were called to a scene of a sudden death near Redvers in a rural location. A 60-year-old male was discovered deceased at a work site. It appears that it was an accident involving a SaskPower line. The deceased's vehicle came in contact with a live power line. RCMP are currently waiting for the coroner's report.

A call of a rollover was attended. The incident took place on the 605 grid, north of Kisbey. No one was injured and there are no charges to be laid. The vehicle was towed from the scene.

A report of a two vehicle collision in Redvers was called in. One vehicle had been backing out of a driveway and the oncoming vehicle struck it. There was minor damage and no injuries.

A complaint of large vehicles being parked in the town of Kisbey was reported. RCMP spoke with all parties and at this time no charges are laid.

On March 23 RCMP received a complaint of vehicles parked along Main Street at a residence. Members attended and found all vehicles were parked within the legal limits. A pedestrian had fallen on some ice in this area as well and was luckily not injured, but the caller was concerned the vehicles were creating a safety hazard.

On March 24 a 19-year-old female was charged with failing to abide by probation conditions. She will be compelled to court.

There were two false alarms at separate Carlyle businesses. RCMP attended both and secured the sites determining the alarms to both be false.

A 50-year-old male was charged with speeding and fined $192.

A 27-year-old male was fined $208 for speeding.

A ticket of $129 was given to an 18-year-old for speeding.

A 31-year-old male received a ticket for $126 for speeding.

A 43-year-old male was charged with speeding and issued a ticket for $186.

On March 25 there was a single vehicle collision with a moose. The moose was found dead on the scene and removed from the highway; but, the driver, luckily, only received minor injuries.

On March 26 RCMP received a request to locate a 20-year-old female whose family hadn't heard from her for awhile. The RCMP made contact with the woman and she was fine, so the family was updated.

A 911 hang-up call was received from a business in Carlyle. RCMP attended and it appeared no one had an emergency. Members determined the call to be false.

A 22-year-old female was issued an inspection notice to remove tint from her vehicle.

An 18-year-old male was also issued an inspection notice to remove the tint from his vehicle.

A school bus collision with a train occurred in Carlyle. There were no serious injuries. Currently no charges have been laid and RCMP are continuing to investigate by obtaining statements in order to decide how to proceed in this matter.

RCMP were called to a scene where stolen property was recovered. Members are determining through investigations if the person whose land the stolen property was found on should be charged with possession of stolen property.

On March 27 members were called to Kenosee for a vehicle fire. The owner put out the fire with a fire extinguisher prior to RCMP arrival. No one was injured and the damages to the vehicle were minor.

RCMP were called to a fight in Carlyle outside of a business. Intoxicated persons were having an altercation and one individual had to be transported to the Weyburn hospital for treatment of injuries sustained during the fight. RCMP are still investigating.

A report of a single vehicle roll over on the 711 grid, west of Highway 9, was reported. The vehicle had lost control while meeting a large vehicle and entered the ditch where it rolled. The driver was not seriously injured, but the vehicle was towed.

A collision between two snowmobilers near Manor was called in. They were travelling together and it appeared one snowmobile collided with the other from behind. One person was transported to hospital due to an undetermined injury.

There was a report of a lost wallet, which is believed to have been lost in Carlyle somewhere. If anyone has any information pertaining to this it is asked that you contact the RCMP.

A 48-year-old male was charged with failing to come to court, which has resulted in a warrant being issued for his arrest.

On March 28 officers attended an alarm at a Carlyle business. It was determined to be false after members secured the premises.

A 45-year-old male was charged with speeding and given a ticket of $220.

A 38-year-old male was fined $140 for speeding.

A 38-year-old male was given a ticket for speeding and fined $138.
