RCMP report

Between March 29 and April 4 the RCMP responded to 57 calls. On March 29 there was a 911 call of an individual hearing gun shots fired in the Carlyle area. RCMP patrols were made and stop checks were performed.

Between March 29 and April 4 the RCMP responded to 57 calls.

On March 29 there was a 911 call of an individual hearing gun shots fired in the Carlyle area. RCMP patrols were made and stop checks were performed. No suspects were located and there were no other complaints received relating to this matter. RCMP were unable to determine if it was in fact shots fired.

A call of an intoxicated person wandering around Carlyle was received. Members responded, but the subject was with friends by this time and was being taken to a safe location.

A 911 misdial in Wawota was looked into. Members found no emergency and determined the call to be false.

A report of vandalism was reported at a rural location north of the Moose Mountain Provincial Park. A homeowner discovered that a rural mailbox had been damaged. RCMP are still investigating.

A request was received to locate a person stranded in the Arcola area. RCMP had responded, but the person had gotten their vehicle going again and was fine.

A charge of $360 was laid on a minor for being in possession of alcohol.

A call of a road hazard was reported on Highway 13 near Redvers. A vehicle was damaged by passing a vehicle with a load of, possibly, gravel. The debris hit the complainant's vehicle. RCMP spoke with the owner and at this time no charges have been laid.

A 44-year-old male's licence was suspended due to liquor consumption. No other fines were laid.

A two vehicle collision was reported on Highway 13 near Carlyle. An 18-year-old female was charged with a liquor related offence. An 81-year-old male was charged with driving to the left of the solid centre line.

An alarm at a business in Redvers was received, but members were called off by a key holder as it was false.

A 28-year-old male's licence was suspended for liquor consumption in Arcola.

A 31-year-old male was charged with having liquor in a vehicle and fined $360.

On March 30 there was a report of theft from a vehicle in Kisbey. There were numerous items taken from the vehicle and the RCMP are continuing their investigation.

There was a call of mischief to a Carlyle business. An intoxicated person had started to cause damage inside the business. This matter is still under investigation.

On March 31 a 23-year-old male was fined $175 for not wearing their seatbelt.

RCMP and EMS responded to a plane crash north of Kisbey in a rural location. Reports indicate there were six occupants in the plane and all survived. The matter is still under investigation currently and RCMP are still taking statements.

A call concerning horses being at large north of Carlyle along the highway was received.

Members were called to a disturbance at a residence in the Carlyle area. RCMP attended. There were no injuries and it was found to have been a family dispute. No charges were laid.

A call of a possibly impaired driver in the Kisbey area was responded to. Patrols were made, but it did not locate the suspect vehicle. The suspect is known and the RCMP are going to continue their investigation.

Horses were reported as being at large near Kenosee Lake.

On April 1 there was a report of a stolen vehicle. The RCMP were able to locate the vehicle a short time later. The suspect was found to be a family member and no charges are being laid.

An alarm call to a Carlyle business was received and members attended where they secured the building. The alarm was determined to be false.

A call from a Carlyle business was responded to. The business had received a counterfeit $5 bill. RCMP are still investigating this matter.

An alarm at a business in Carlyle was attended by RCMP, but found to be false.

A report of a hit and run was reported in Redvers. It appears the vehicle was damaged while it was parked at the rink. There are no leads or suspects at this time.

RCMP were called to a residence in the Carlyle area for a disturbance. Members attended to keep the peace while one person left the residence. There was no assault and no injuries.

A 911 call to a residence in the Alameda area was received. This was determined to have been due to phone line trouble and there was no emergency in the area.

On April 2 RCMP received a call of assault and this matter is still under investigation.

An alarm call at a business in the Carlyle area was received. Members attended and determined it was false.

A 911 call to a residence at Kenosee Lake was reported. RCMP determined there was no emergency and it was a false call.

A call of a child being alone on a street in Redvers was reported. Prior to RCMP arrival the parents of the child located the youth. The child was safe.

An alarm was received from a business in Carlyle. RCMP confirmed there was no break-in at the site and that the alarm was false.

An intoxicated person causing a disturbance at a residence in Carlyle was reported to RCMP. Members attended, but prior to their arrival the male subject had left with friends. The RCMP confirmed the subject was taken to a safe location.

On April 3 a 23-year-old male had their licence suspended for consumption of liquor.

A complainant reported receiving harassing phone calls. This matter is still under investigation.

A call of an alarm at a Carlyle business was received. RCMP confirmed with staff that there was no emergency and that the alarm was false.

An alarm to a school in the Carlyle area was responded to. Members confirmed it was a false alarm and that no crime had occurred.

On April 4 there was a complaint of mischief to a vehicle. The damage occurred while the vehicle was parked on the street. At this time the RCMP do not have any leads.

A suspicious person was reported in a rural area near Forget. The complainant also reported possible gun shots throughout the evening. RCMP were unable to locate anyone during patrols and there were no other calls received concerning this matter. RCMP currently do not have any information identifying suspects.
