The report of this week covers the period of Dec. 23 to 29. The detachment assisted with 32 calls during that time period.

December 23 - No calls were received.

December 24

The detachment received a compliant of an unwanted intoxicated male at a residence. The caller later called back to inform RCMP that police assistance was no longer required.

RCMP received a call concerning a driver that was possibly intoxicated. Members patrolled but the vehicle was not located.

A call was received concerning an intoxicated male trying to fight with people at a house party. Members attended and the subject of complaint had already left on foot.

Police received a complaint of an intoxicated driver. Members attended and patrolled, but were unable to locate the vehicle.

RCMP received a call concerning a fight that was taking place. Members attended and upon arrival, both parties had left the scene. Further investigation indicated that it was a consensual fight and no charges were laid.

A call was received concerning a traffic collision. No injuries resulted from the incident. The matter is still under investigation.

December 26

The detachment received a complaint of a possibly intoxicated driver. Patrols were made, but the vehicle was unable to be located.

RCMP received a report of an alarm that had gone off at a business. Members attended and the alarm was found to be false.

Police received a report of an intoxicated driver. Members attended, but were unable to locate the vehicle.

The detachment received a complaint of an erratic driver crossing over the centre line. No license plate was provided to the police. Members patrolled, however, were unable to find the vehicle.

RCMP received a complaint of mischief to a vehicle. The caller indicated an individual had flattened all of the tires of their vehicle. The matter is still under investigation.

Police received a complaint of a traffic collision. No injuries resulted from the incident, however, the report was being made for insurance purposes.

December 27

A call was received concerning an intoxicated male in a business. Members attended and the individual was arrested as a result of breeching his probation conditions. The individual was held over night at the detachment.

Police received a report of a suspicious vehicle. The caller indicated he believed the driver to be intoxicated. Members made patrols, but were unable to locate the vehicle.

The detachment received a call of an intoxicated male passed out in the ditch. Members attended and the individual was arrested and lodged in cells overnight.

December 28

RCMP received a call concerning a suspicious vehicle. Members attended and upon further investigation, it was found to be a security vehicle. The complainant was notified.

The detachment received a call of an abandoned vehicle on the highway. Police contacted the registered owner, who had already arranged for the vehicle to be towed.

RCMP received a complaint of a hit-and-run that occurred in Brandon, MB. Members took a statement and forwarded it to Brandon City Police for investigation purposes.

A call was received concerning a complaint of theft from a residence. The homeowner had left for a couple months and had allowed an individual to stay at this residence. Upon return, a number of his belongings were gone. The matter is still under investigation.

RCMP received a complaint of an erratic driver driving too fast for road conditions. The license plate number was obtained by the complainant. Members were unable to locate the vehicle at the time, but as a result of the information provided, they were able to contact the registered owner by telephone. The owner was given a verbal warning.

A call was received concerning a motor vehicle accident. Members attended and one vehicle required towing. Alcohol was not found to be a factor in the incident. One of the drivers was charged with driving without due care and attention.

December 29

The detachment received a complaint of unwanted intoxicated persons at a residence. Members attended and the subjects of the complaint had already left the scene. Patrols were made, but members were unable to locate the individuals.

The RCMP received a call concerning an intoxicated driver. Police located the vehicle. The driver was found to be sober, however, a number of the passengers were intoxicated. Members were able to identify one individual who was on warrants. The individual was arrested and released on documents to appear.

RCMP received a complaint of an intoxicated male at a business. Members attended and located the individual, who was arrested and lodged in cells until sober.

A call was received concerning a number of people who were breeching release conditions. Members investigated and found that their release conditions needed to be changed. No charges were laid in the matter.
