Red Cross helps flood victims

George Barker, Weyburn representative for the Canadian Red Cross, greets residents who need emergency help due to the flooding which hit Weyburn and area with a huge rainstorm on Friday, at a station set up in Crescent Point Place. The City of Weyburn was placed under a state of emergency late on Friday as the Souris River rose and caused widespread flooding in the city. Emergency shelter and food was provided for those who needed it, plus any other assistance they were able to provide.
