Rotary Clubs in District 5550 are looking for a team of four young professional or business people who are available for at least one month to travel to England in the fall of 2011.

Selected candidates will travel from October 1 to 29 as a part of a Rotary Group Study Exchange. Candidates will be 25 to 40 years of age, Canadian citizens, currently employed for at least two years in a profession or business, and be in good health. Requirements include the ability to work as part of a team, act as an ambassador and not be immediately related to members of Rotary.

The team, plus a Rotarian leader, will be selected from Rotary District 550, which includes most of Saskatchewan (except western portion), Manitoba and Northwestern Ontario. Travel, accommodation and meals are hosted while on the exchange. Team members are responsible for their passport, visa, apparel, medical and vaccination costs. They will be required to attend a two-day orientation session prior to travel.

The selection process involves completion of an application to a nearby Rotary club in the district by February 5, and interviews. The "Team Member Application" form can be obtained from the Rotary International Website. Completed application forms to be emailed to Kim Marcotte at kimmarcotte@sasktel.et, subject: Rotary GSE to England D1210.

The Group Study Exchange is a vocational and cultural exchange for the purpose of promoting understanding and friendship. The host country will arrange home stays and daily schedules, including three to five days of vocational experiences of interest to each member. In turn, the Rotary District will host a team from England.
