On Dec. 8 jolly old St. Nick will be taking time out of his busy holiday schedule to come to Carlyle. Though this is his busiest time of year, readying himself and his reindeer for Christmas Eve with the help of his elves, he makes sure to visit with children. Between 1 p.m. and 4 p.m. Santa will be in the lower part of Memorial Hall. He is very excited to welcome everyone to take a photo with him for a mere $2, which is basically to cover costs of developing the photo and mailing the finished product to families.

The day will also include a free movie, Wreck-it Ralph, to be watched on this day. The movie will be held in Carlyle Memorial Hall and will begin at 1 p.m. Going into the movie each kid will receive a little treat bag and juice box for free, while the Theatre Committee will be selling popcorn and drinks.

"Really it's very simple, a movie, treat bags, and a photo with Santa. And the mother's can go shopping," Sheila Colpitts laughed.

In all it is just a fun way to spend a Saturday afternoon.
