Women representing different cultures speak in turn about the horrific incidents of abuse during a scene of the hard-hitting dramatic play, "Collateral Bodies", put on by the Crocus 80 theatre group. The play, which examines how women in different cultures dealt with violence in their lives, will be performed by Crocus 80 on Sunday, Sept. 29 at the Tommy Douglas Centre; doors will open at 6 and the performance is at 7 p.m. There are seven characters altogether, with the Woman in White serving to bring the six women to life in order to share their experiences. The six represent different cultures, including American, Mexican, Indian, Iranian, Somali and Eastern European, and all six characters died in various ways simply for being female. The play is rated PG-16 and is intended for mature audiences only, and there is coarse language involved. The play will also be performed at a provincial theatre festival later in October.
