Rapidly changing weather patterns, including some additional snow led to slippery streets and avenues in Estevan this past week.

As a result of these conditions, there were several minor and not-so-minor traffic accidents to investigate so those duties fell into the hands of the Estevan Police Service.

Besides having to cope with the winter driving conditions and the ensuing accidents, EPS members issued one charge against a Churchbridge, Sask. man for refusing to supply a breath sample for a roadside screen device on the night of Jan. 22. That will result in a court visit at a later date.

EPS members also handed out a 30-day licence suspension to a young Estevan driver on that same evening.
