It's that time of the year again folks, time to do some gardening! Get your planters, garden tools and weed whackers prepared for another round, of spring and summer warmth.

Prairiescapes and Country Garden Greenhouse have opened for their season, and are ready to serve all your gardening needs.

"We are open all week long to serve your needs," said Allen Thomas, co-owner of Country Garden Greenhouse. "We are even open a few hours on Sundays."

As you walk around Carlyle, you will quickly notice the amount of dandy lions popping up, and the grass growing at a speed beyond belief. The lawn mowers began to come out last weekend, and the scent of fresh cut grass filled the air.

"This is my passion," said Colleen Scammell , owner of Prairiescapes. "I started the business last year and this year moved up to the larger greenhouse."

Some seeds can be planted in mid to late May with little or no risk of damage for the sudden weather changes in Saskatchewan such as Spinach, radish, beets, carrots, broccoli, cauliflower, rutabaga, turnips, peas, lettuce, parsnips and seed onions. The rest of your vegetables can wait until the first week in June.

Flowers are ready to go in their pots, as the sun has once again come out for southeast Saskatchewan, allowing it's citizens to quickly forget the winter cold.

If you haven't already fertilized your lawn, do it now. If you have a weed problem, start digging. It's time for the gardening to begin, add some colour to the town.

Carlyle is lucky enough to be the home of good quality greenhouses, and knowledgeable workers available at all time to serve you. Any questions you have, they can probably answer.

"There's nothing I'd rather be doing," Thomas passionately said.
