This past month Stoughton Central School received the wonderful and exciting news that we will be going to Telamiracle! The eager hard working students are rivaling in friendly combat against each grade to raise the most money with events such as, penny wars, spirit chains, miracle mile and of course helping hands.

The penny war. The grades that bring the most pennies wins but to add a little fun the opposing grade may bring in their silver to neutralize the penny count.

Spirit Chains are available for 25 cents the class with the most links wins. As of February 14th Grade 5/6 Grade 7 and Grade 8's are at the top of the game for spirit links each class has over 225 links.

Miracle mile and Helping hands are available for 1$ the goal is to make it around the school before the fundraiser is over, and helping hands will be going on throughout the whole fundraiser.

On the February 14th the Elementary and High school students did a cake walk! Donations from families in the school of baked goods were greatly appreciated to support this event. How the cake walk worked was at the beginning 24 students pay 25 cents per "walk". The music is played and the kids walk around the numbers when the music stops a number is drawn if you are standing on that number you win a cake!

We are very excited to go to Telemiracle! Selected students of SCS will be leaving for Telemiracle on Sunday March 4th and will be tote board carriers from 1:00 p.m. - 3:00 p.m. The lucky students will also get to do an on air presentation that day as well.

If you have any questions about future or current events please contact the school at 457-2533 or contact Ms. Wyatt at carlee.wyatt@cornerstonesd.ca.
