During Fire Prevention Week in the fall, students at St. Dominic Savio School were given Fire Safety presentations from various firefighters and were provided with a booklet, which included planning escape routes for their homes and planning a safe family meeting spot, etc. The booklet was optional, completed at home and students could return them to the fire station for a draw.

The prize for draw winners was: being picked up at home and taken to school in a fire truck, picked up again at noon and taken for lunch at McDonalds, then picked up again after school and delivered home.

As part of a public safety initiative, this program is sponsored by the City of Weyburn.
