Take in the action at the Moose Mountain Pro Rodeo

This year marks the 80th Anniversary of the Moose Mountain Pro Rodeo in Kennedy. Starting on Saturday, July 21 and finishing on July 22 Kennedy will host this exhilarating event.

This year marks the 80th Anniversary of the Moose Mountain Pro Rodeo in Kennedy. Starting on Saturday, July 21 and finishing on July 22 Kennedy will host this exhilarating event. If looking for an exciting weekend with lots to do for the whole family, then look no further.

Saturday will start off with a pancake breakfast early in the morning, 7 a.m. until 9 a.m. The parade down Main Street will take place at 11 a.m. At noon a demolition derby will take place, as well as a stick horse rodeo. Saskatchewan Express will perform at 2:30 p.m. with the rodeo competition taking place at 5 p.m. Following the rodeo will be the GX 94 Star Search Champion. There will also be the Seed Hawk's fireworks show happening at dusk on Saturday. Between 1 p.m. and 7 p.m. kids carnival rides will be open as well as the trade show.

Sunday will again open with a pancake breakfast. At 11 a.m. a cowboy church service will take place. Starting at noon will be another stick horse rodeo. The kids carnival rides and the trade show will take place from 1 p.m. to 5 p.m. on this day. The rodeo performance will start up at 2 p.m., which will be followed by a demolition derby and supper.

The rodeo stock will be provided by Big Stone Rodeo. The announcer for the day will be Brett Gardiner who will keep the crowd entertained and informed. Gordo Bones will be the Rodeo Clown that keeps the riders safe and who will help entertain the crowd.

Admission for the rodeo will be $15 for adults and $10 for those who are 17 and under, while preschool children are free! A special weekend family pass will be offered for $75, which will get two adults and children under 18 into the event. With beer gardens, music, concessions, and two days of excitement it is sure to be fun for the whole family.
