Traffic flows by steadily on Highway 39, very near the CP Rail crossing on Queen Street, the site of recent accidents involving semis pulling trailers. In the two most recent collisions with a train, both the CP Police and the Weyburn Police Service deemed the accidents as "driver error". Weyburn city council has asked for a new bylaw to restrict all south-bound traffic at this crossing, disallowing all vehicles pulling a trailer from crossing the tracks here due to the very short distance between the tracks and Highway 39.
