Grade 5 student Elysia Froese stands atop "Flat Top Rock" as Susan Nedelcov-Anderson of Weyburn In Motion and Coun. Nancy Styles of the city's Parks Board watches at left on Friday afternoon. Elysia won the "Name the Rock" contest put on by the two organizations for elementary-aged children, and was presented with an iPod and a certificate at the city council meeting on Monday night. The 'Flat Top Rock' was found when a basement was being excavated nearby, and is now located behind Slezak Crescent to the east, beside the Tatagwa Parkway path as it runs south from Fifth Avenue North and Slezak Crescent. The Parks Board may look into installing a sign on the rock with the new name.
