Thirteen recoveries, no new cases of COVID-19 in South East Zone 4

ESTEVAN - There has been another significant drop in the number of active COVID-19 cases in South East Zone 4, which includes Estevan, according to the daily figures supplied by the Saskatchewan Health Authority on Aug. 16 on the COVID-19 dashboard.

There were 46 active cases in Zone 4, down from 59 on Aug. 15, which means there were 13 recoveries in the area.

As for the rest of the South East, there is one new case in South East Zone 2, which is north of Zone 4.

There are now 85 active cases in the South East region. Two people are in hospital in the South East; both are receiving inpatient care. And another 14 people in the South East have recovered.

A total of 28 COVID-19 tests were processed in the South East on Aug. 15.

And another 31 doses of vaccine have been administered, bringing the total number of doses to 97,663. A total of 46,005 people in the South East are now fully vaccinated.
