Unveiling of name of new history book

At a soup & sandwich lunch, Wed. May 16th at the Carlyle Memorial Hall, the name of the new Carlyle & District History Book will be revealed.

At a soup & sandwich lunch, Wed. May 16th at the Carlyle Memorial Hall, the name of the new Carlyle & District History Book will be revealed. Names suggested are: From Blacktop to Memory Lane; Blacktop to Laptops; Blacktop and Beyond; Blacktop Eternal; From Blacktop and Beyond; Blacktop to History Beyond; Blacktop to Black Gold; Blacktop to the Future; From Blacktop to Cyberspace.

Once the chosen name is announced it is hoped that local artists of every age will submit sketches for the cover. The winner of each contest will be awarded one of the new books.

The organizing committee continues to accept stories & pictures. We cannot move to publication until we reach at least of our financial goal of $75,000.00.
