Update - Weyburn police charge 3 men in homicide, home invasion

The Weyburn Police Service has laid a number of charges in relation to the home invasion and homicide, which occurred on Jan. 4 at approximately 9 p.m. at a residence in the 300 block of Fourth St. N.E.

The Weyburn Police Service has laid a number of charges in relation to the home invasion and homicide, which occurred on Jan. 4 at approximately 9 p.m. at a residence in the 300 block of Fourth St. N.E.
The three men charged in the incident made their first appearance on Tuesday morning in Weyburn provincial court, and all three had their charges adjourned to Tuesday, Jan. 22. No pleas were entered, and they were all remanded in custody until their next court appearance.
Keegan R. Muxlow, 23 years old from Weyburn, is charged with second degree murder, use of a firearm during the commission of an offence, unsafe storage of a firearm and possession of a firearm without a valid licence.
Dominick Hawkes, 23, from Weyburn, is charged with break and enter and committing assault, wearing a disguise during the commission of an offence, possession of a weapon for the purpose of committing an offence, possession of a firearm without a valid licence, and possession of cocaine.
William N. McLeod, 25, from Weyburn is charged with break and enter and committing assault, wearing a disguise during the commission of an offence, possession of a weapon for the purpose of committing an offence, and possession of a firearm without a valid licence.
The Weyburn Police Service first responded to the 300 block of Fourth St. N.E on Friday evening around 9 p.m. after receiving a call of a home invasion involving firearms.
An altercation occurred within the residence, and during the incident shots were fired.
Two individuals made their way to the General Hospital where one of them, an 18-year-old male, who has been identified as Nathan Hutt of Weyburn, later died of his injuries. Hutt was among the group who are accused of committing the home invasion. Muxlow was the target of the home invasion.
