Weekly RCMP report

The Carlyle Detachment of the RCMP received 48 calls between Jan. 4 and Jan. 10. Calls began on Jan. 4 with a two vehicle collision near Arcola. Two semis were involved. Traffic was temporarily rerouted through Arcola for a short time.

Calls began on Jan. 4 with a two vehicle collision near Arcola. Two semis were involved. Traffic was temporarily rerouted through Arcola for a short time. Nobody was injured and it is currently under investigation with charges possibly pending.

There was a report received concerning a person driving an unregistered vehicle. The subject was located and vehicle impounded. Charges are pending and the 41-year-old driver has a court date in Carlyle.

Members were called to Forget for a disturbance; but, the situation had been diffused before they arrived. No one was arrested or charged.

There was a complaint of theft in the town of Redvers. A resident reported items being taken from her yard.

There was also a complaint from the Manor area of a person driving without due care and attention. The suspect was located and the matter is being further investigated.

A local driver was issued an inspection notice referring to the removal of tint on the front windows of the vehicle.

Members responded to a two vehicle collision along Highway 13 near Arcola. RCMP attended and there were no injuries.

There were also three false 911 calls throughout the night one from Manor, Carlyle, and the Carlyle area.

On Jan. 5 members were called to a residence in Carlyle for an assault. Upon arrival one of the parties had already left. The investigation is ongoing as it appeared people had been injured during the altercation. RCMP are determining if charges will be laid.

An attempted break-in appears to have occurred at a business in Arcola. There was damage to the door; but, nothing appears to have been taken. The investigation is ongoing.

There was a call received concerning a suspicious person in Carlyle. The individual was said to be acting strange. Members located the subject and no offence was found to have been committed, so was given a ride to a safe location.

On Jan. 6 there was a call about a possible impaired driver. Patrols were made, but the subject wasn't located.

There was an alarm call from a business in Carlyle. Officers attended, but it was found to be false.

There was a complaint of a subject on probation not abiding by their conditions. This matter was investigated, but no evidence was found in the subject having committed an offence.

A single vehicle roll over, which had happened the night before was attended to. There had been a lone occupant in the vehicle with minor injuries. No charges were laid and it is thought the poor road conditions contributed to the roll over.

An alarm call was received from a business in Redvers. The RCMP were called off prior to attending as it was a false alarm.

On Jan. 7 a 34-year-old male was charged with failure to comply with release conditions. Carlyle RCMP now have a warrant out for his arrest.

There was a complaint of a single vehicle collision in Arcola. The subject had collided with someone's property in the town. No charges were laid.

A complaint of mischief in the town of Arcola was received. A vehicle had suffered damage and the act is under investigation.

There was a call of a traffic hazard near Kisbey on Highway 13. A vehicle was on the highway with no taillights. RCMP were unable to locate the vehicle.

On Jan. 8 a vehicle was given a speeding ticket in the town of Redvers while going through a school zone. The ticket issued was for $224.

A ticket was issued for $150 to a driver for performing a stunting activity.

A two vehicle collision was reported on Highway 13 near Arcola. There were no injuries.

Members were called to a residence in the Carlyle Area for a disturbance. RCMP attended and a 21-year-old female was arrested and removed from the house.

A collision on Highway 13 near Arcola was reported as a hit and run. One vehicle fled the scene and RCMP were unable to locate the vehicle. No one was injured.

A 23-year-old male was arrested for impaired driving and will be facing charges in Carlyle court.

In the very early morning hours of Jan. 9 a 24-year-old male was arrested for impaired driving and will be facing charges in court.

A roll over collision was attended near Kisbey on Highway 13. Four people were in the single vehicle. One suffered serious, but non-life threatening injuries upon being ejected from the vehicle. EMS and the Carlyle Fire Department attended. It is thought that poor road conditions were the main factor in the roll over.

A 911 call was received from a business in Redvers. It was found to be a false call.

A complaint of theft of property was received from a residence in the Carlyle area. This matter is currently under investigation.

There was a complaint of a gas and dash from the Carlyle Convenience Store. This matter remains under investigation.

A 25-year-old male received a speeding ticket for $192 while on Highway 13 near Carlyle.

Jan. 10 saw a report of false cheques being given to a business in Redvers and is currently still under investigation.
