The report of this week covers the period of Dec. 10 to Dec. 16. The detachment assisted with 48 calls during that time period.

December 10

RCMP received a complaint of an assault taking place at a residence in the area. Members attended and no assault had actually taken place. One of the individuals was arrested to prevent any further altercations. No charges were laid in the matter.

The detachment received a report of theft from a residence in Carlyle. A number of tools were stolen. Members attended and as a result of further investigation, it was determined that the tools had been repossessed and the individual had used a cancelled credit card to purchase the materials. No charges were laid.

RCMP received a call from a complainant who indicated his van had been damaged while parked on the street in Arcola. The necessary paperwork was completed and submitted for insurance purposes.

A call was received from Pheasant Rump concerning a 24-year-old male who was intoxicated and intimidating people in the house. Upon arrival, signs of an altercation were visible. The individual was located and arrested, transported to Carlyle and lodged into cells. The subject was charged with assault and is required to appear in court.

December 11

The detachment received a report of two males driving in a vehicle on the highway. The caller believed the driver was intoxicated. Members patrolled and no vehicle matching the description was located.

RCMP received a 911 call advising that the ambulance was en route to a residence in the area to attend to a female that had been assaulted. Members attended and located the 45-year-old female who stated that her daughter had attacked her. A 23-year-old female was located and arrested for assault. The matter is still under investigation.

December 12

RCMP received a complaint of a theft of a motor vehicle. The caller indicated that an employee had gone missing with a company truck. A description of the vehicle was provided. The vehicle was located the next day and the caller did not wish to pursue charges.

A false alarm was received from a business in Arcola.

Police received a call from a complainant who wanted to inform police that they had been contacted by an individual stating he was from Microsoft. The RCMP is aware of the scam and wants the public to know that if you receive such a call, you should hang-up the phone and contact the Canadian Anti-Fraud Centre at 1-888-495-8501. The Centre is responsible for the tracking and prevention of such scams and have the resources required to address the issue.

December 13

Police received a call concerning a missing individual in the area. Members attended and the 10-year-old child was found and returned to her residence.

An individual attended the detachment concerning a lost purse found on Main Street in Carlyle.

RCMP assisted Estevan Police Service with a summons. The individual was arrested in Carlyle and remanded until court appearance in Estevan.

Police received a 911 call concerning a fight at The Office in Carlyle. Members attended and the individuals had fled the scene. Members patrolled the area, however, the individuals were not located.

Police received a 911 hang-up call from a residence in the area. Members attended the residence and a child had been playing with the phone. There were no signs of distress and police attendance was not required.

RCMP received a call concerning a dog that was running loose in Kenosee Lake. The owner of the dog was unknown.

Members assisted the general public concerning allegations of possible theft. The complaint had originated in the area. No crime had been committed, but the caller wanted to inform the RCMP of the issue.

Police received a 911 call from the high school in Carlyle. The vice-principal requested that members speak with the 13-year-old boy who had made the call. Parents were informed by the school of the false call placed by the child.

December 14

Police received a report of a deer motor vehicle accident on the highway west of Manor. No injuries resulted from the collision.

A warrant was issued for a 20-year-old woman who failed to attend court in Carlyle.

Police received a report of shoplifting from the liquor store in Carlyle. Members attended and obtained photos and video of the subject. The matter is currently under investigation.

An anonymous call was received concerning an intoxicated driver. A description of the vehicle was provided and the vehicle was located turning east onto highway #13. Members stopped the vehicle and the driver failed the roadside breathalyzer. The individual was taken back to the detachment where he failed two tests. The 39-year-old male from Bjorkdale was charged with operating a motor vehicle while impaired and driving while over 0.08.

RCMP received a complaint from the area concerning four people who had entered their house uninvited with members from the Band office.

RCMP received a complaint of damage done to a letter sign at a business in Carlyle. The matter is still being investigated.

The detachment received a report of an abandoned vehicle near Forget. The owner was contacted and she informed police that she was attempting to find someone to tow it. The matter was concluded.

Police received a complaint from a residence in Moose Mountain Provincial Park who wanted an individual removed from the home. The individuals were having a domestic dispute. Two members attended.

RCMP received a complaint of a gas-and-dash at Carlyle Convenience Store. The vehicle left with paying for $85 of fuel. The matter is still under investigation.

Members received a complaint from the area. The caller stated that her son was writing degrading things about her on facebook. The matter is still under investigation.

Police received a report of two males in a parked vehicle outside of a business in Carlyle. Members attended and located the vehicle. The driver informed police he was on his way from Edmonton back to Quebec and they had slept in car as a result of needing gas.

The assistance of members was requested from Regina Police Service concerning an assault that may have happened in the area. The complainant informed police that they did not wish to pursue the matter. The file was concluded as the complainant did not want to attend court.

A roadside check on Main Street in Wawota resulted in a 24-hour license suspension. A roadside screening device was used and the test produced an A reading on the device. The driver was a 23-year-old male from Regina.

Members attended to an alarm from a residence in Cannington Lake. Upon arrival, it was verified that a break-and-enter had occurred. Photos were taken and evidence was collected. The matter is still under investigation.

December 15

RCMP received a complaint of hit-and-run. The individual was parked in a back alley in Carlyle and the rear driver side was damaged. There were no witnesses or subjects at the time of the incident. Reports were forwarded to SGI and the file was concluded.

Police received a complaint of an assault which occurred in Carlyle between two sisters. One of the females ran off on foot to use a phone to inform police. Members attended and the subject was gone at arrival. The mother of the 17 and 19-year-olds was contacted. The matter is still under investigation.

The detachment received information regarding a 22-year-old male who is constantly driving around without a license in the Carlyle area. The information was passed on to all members.

Members received a complaint of a vehicle passing school buses while they were parked in a school zone in Arcola. The matter is still under investigation.

RCMP received a request from Calgary Police Service to give a witness subpoena to a resident in Manor.

December 16

Police received a report of fire in the Carlyle area.

The detachment received a call concerning a 46-year-old male who was unconscious at an establishment in the area. Members attended and arrested a 21-year-old male for aggravated assault. The two males had been involved in a fight outside the bar and the 46-year-old fell down the stairs. The 46-year-old suffered severe injuries and was taken to Regina hospital.

Police received a false alarm from Manor School.

RCMP received a 911 call from an individual in the area who requested assistance getting his property from his ex-partner.

Police received a call concerning a possible impaired driver heading westbound near Forget. Members attended, however, the vehicle not located.

Members received a 911 call from an individual whose ex-partner was attending to remove his belongings from her house.
