The Carlyle Detachment of the RCMP responded to a total of 66 calls between the 22nd of June and the 28th of the month. On June 22nd, two citations were issued to individuals for having open liquor within their vehicles.

The Carlyle Detachment of the RCMP responded to a total of 66 calls between the 22nd of June and the 28th of the month.

On June 22nd, two citations were issued to individuals for having open liquor within their vehicles.

A 19-year-old male was cited during a road stop on Highway 13, and a 26-year-old male was cited by members on patrol on Carlyle Avenue in Carlyle.

The fine for the offense is $360.

A complaint was received of a late-model two-door burgundy car stunting on Main St. in Carlyle.

Members patrolled, but were unable to locate the subject vehicle.

A 911 call was received reporting a stolen vehicle in the area.

When the vehicle owner was contacted by police, they were informed the individual in possession of the vehicle had permission to use it, so the case was closed.

A noise complaint was received from 4th St. West in Carlyle.

The caller stated that a parked vehicle had had its radio playing loudly for over an hour.

Responding members located the vehicle and its 18-year-old driver, who complied with a police request to turn down the radio.

A suspicious persons report was received by the detachment from a rural area outside of Alida.

The caller stated the individual was acting strangely, and appeared to be surveying homes.

The matter remains open at this time.

A report of a break-and-enter was received from a residence in Arcola.

The caller returned home to discover interior doors open that were closed previously, and noted several items were moved.

June 23rd began with an 18-year-old male in Carlyle being issued a fine for $360 by patrolling member for having open liquor within their vehicle.

Due to storms, power-outs led to two false alarms being received by the detachment.

A 24-hour driving suspension was issued to a 21-year-old female following a patrol stop in Carlyle.

The patrol members noted the smell of alcohol from the driver, and a roadside screening was administered, which the driver failed.

The driver was returned to the detachment where a breath analyzer was used, and the driver twice blew directly at the 0.8 legal blood/alcohol limit.

During the event, the 22-year-old male passenger became belligerent with police.

The situation escalated, and in the end the male was arrested for public intoxication, obstruction, and resisting arrest.

He was held in cells until morning then released in the morning on an undertaking with conditions.

The full array of charges are still pending.

Members responded to a 911 call from a farmstead near Wawota reporting a motor vehicle collision.

The single vehicle collision involved an ATV, and the 24-year-old driver was injured in the event.

Members found the victim conscious and alert, and remained until EMS responded.

Members on patrol issued a $360 ticket for open alcohol in a vehicle to a 18-year-old male on June 24.

The male was found by members on Main St. in Carlyle.

Carlyle members rendered assistance to the Regina Police Service (RPS) by serving a warrant to a 20-year-old female in the area.

The female was later released on documents.

While providing assistance to an individual in the area, members returning and individual to their home ended up leaving the residence with a second person in the vehicle.

When returning the person, an intoxicated female at the residence was found to be yelling and shouting at persons at the home.

Members attempted to calm the situation, however the female was insensible, and unable to understand requests or commands from the police.

When the female became to issue verbal threats against residents of the house, members took the female into custody, and she was lodged in cells over-night, and released in the morning with no charges.

Members responded to a report of two young children racing back and forth across Highway 9, north of Bear Claw Casino.

Responding members located the youths, and returned them to their home.

The parents were spoken to by police and issued verbal warnings about being aware of the children's activities.

A 20-year-old female is facing multiple charges following a patrol stop on Highway 9.

Members noticed a vehicle driving in an erratic fashion, and when the vehicle was stopped, the driver showed noticeable signs of intoxication.

A roadside screening device supported the suspicion of members, and the subject was taken to the detachment, where she twice failed a breath analyzer test.

She is now facing charges of impaired operation of a motor vehicle, operation of a motor vehicle over 0.8, and failing to comply with a probation order.

The detachment received a 911 hang up call from Kisbey.

When the residence was contacted, it was discovered that four young children were in the home, with the parents outside at the time of the call.

The matter is considered closed.

A complaint was received of a vehicle being stolen in the area.

Responding members located the vehicle and driver, who was taken into custody.

It was discovered the individual actually had permission from the vehicle owner to be in possession of the vehicle, however the driver was held regardless due to outstanding warrants.

Detachment members assisted the coroner with a sudden death in the community of Kisbey.

The death was not suspicious.

Members opened a file as per a request from a complainant.

The caller informed police that they had been confronted by the subject of the complaint and threatened with bodily harm.

The complainant requested members open a file on the matter in the event the matter progresses further than threats.

Members assisted a member of the public in retrieving personal items from a residence formerly shared with a romantic partner.

The matter ended peacefully, though verbal warnings were issued to the involved parties.

A power outage led to a false alarm from a business in Carlyle.

An intoxicated individual who was leaving a motorcycle event in Carlyle contacted the detachment via 911 to request directions to their home, as they had become lost in the town.

Members gave the individual directions, and issued warnings that the 911 system was for emergencies only.

The individual later called back via the detachment number to inform members they have found their way home.

A complaint was received from Arcola reporting a loud party and bonfire within the town.

The call, which was received at 3:24 a.m. led members to attend the subject residence, where they found the party had ended and the residents were clearing the yard.

Warnings were issued regarding the municipal bylaw regarding noise, and the matter is concluded.

Members rushed to the community of Arcola in response to a call about a domestic dispute.

The complainant informed police that a former romantic partner was trying to gain access to the complainant's residence, frightening the caller and the children in the home.

The caller informed police the subject was walking away from the domicile at the time of the call.

Responding members located the subject of the complaint on Main St. in Arcola, and spoke with the individual about the event.

The subject, who was intoxicated, apologized for their behaviour, and stated that they had not been fully aware of the time.

The subject was emotional, but rational, so members transported the subject to their residence.

The complainant was contacted and informed of the situation.

Members responded to a 911 call from Lion's Park campground in Carlyle.

The call, which was dropped prior to information being shared between the caller and the 911 operator, was geo-located to have come from the campground.

Responding members found an intoxicated female raging at a male, with the male having scratch marks about his throat.

The male, who was calm, provided no details to members, however the 29-year-old female was taken into custody and held overnight until sober.

No charges have been laid in the matter.

June 25th began with members responding to a domestic disturbance in the community of Wawota.

The complainant asked no charges be laid in the matter, but requested a file be opened for future reference.

The complainant also request information about an Emergency Intervention Order (EIO,) a legal ruling which provides a 30-day cooling period between couple by issuing a residence ban and a distance minimum between the parties.

Members responded to an alarm at a business in Carlyle.

Following examination of the property, the alarm was recorded as being false, as no evidence of wrongful entry were found.

A tow truck was summoned to remove a vehicle reported as abandoned from a commercial parking lot in Carlyle.

The vehicle had been in the same spot for two days.

Members responded to a call from a residence in the area.

The caller stated that a 20-year-old female at the residence, who was asleep, could not stay in the home while the caller was at work.

Members roused the female and transported her to another location.

Investigations are continuing following a break-and-enter at the Pharmasave in Carlyle.

The forced entry had taken place overnight, with narcotic pharmaceuticals being the focus of the theft.

Assistance was rendered at the scene by Indent members from the RCMP Yorkton Detachment.

A call regarding an unwanted person was received from the area.

Before members could respond, the caller contacted police again to inform them the subject of the complaint had left the premises.

A report of an unauthorized taking of a vehicle was made to the Carlyle detachment from the area.

The complainant called back later to inform members that the subject had returned with the vehicle, and had hit the steps of the residence with it, causing damage to the steps.

The caller also informed members that several personal items appeared to be missing, and wished charges be pursued related to the taking of the vehicle.

The matter is continuing.

June 26th began for members with several calls regarding an individual passed out in the middle of Highway 9.

Responding members located the individual, who was heavily intoxicated, and brought the individual back to the detachment to be lodged in cells.

The 35-year-old male has been charged with causing a disturbance and breach of probation, along with a $100 fine.

Members were contacted by colleagues with the Fillmore RCMP Detachment regarding a 25-year-old male arrested for breach of undertaking.

Members from the two detachments met in Forget where the prisoner was handed over to Carlyle Detachment for holding.

Members provided a criminal records check pursuant to employment for a member of the public.

June 27th began with a report of a suspicious vehicle in the area.

The caller reported a white cube van with no markings had been sitting near their home for a considerable period of time, causing concern among the residents of the home.

Responding members were unable to locate the vehicle or its driver.

An investigation is continuing following a report of uttering threats.

The threats were issued via text message.

A report was received of three cows walking along the edge of Highway 9 near Bear Claw Casino.

Responding members were unable to locate the cattle.

An employer contacted police after he was contacted by an employee via text message, telling that the employee had been in a MVC, and rolled the company vehicle.

It was unknown if the driver was injured, and so members rushed to the reported location north of Forget.

Members were unable to locate the vehicle or driver, and while searching for them, they were contacted again by the employer and informed that the location of the MVC was actually much further south.

The vehicle had rolled four times and was not in drivable condition, however the location of the MVC was within Estevan RCMP jurisdiction, so Estevan was contacted to take over the case.

An individual attended the detachment looking for guidance regarding a dispute with a contractor.

Members advised the individual that such disputes are civil in nature, and that any further contact with the contractor by the individual should occur with witnesses present.

Members provided assistance to a member of the public by providing a criminal records check and taking fingerprints for an employment security check.

A caller advised police they had struck and killed a dog on Highway 13 near Arcola, and were concerned because a smaller dog was also in the vicinity, and might also be in danger.

Members responded, but were unable to locate the second dog.

A file was made for SGI purposes.

June 28th began with members opening an investigation into an suspected attempted break-in at White Bear Store.

The investigation is continuing.

Members responded to several reports of an individual passed out in the centre of Highway 9.

Members responded to a request by family members to check on the disposition of an elderly individual.

Members attended the individual's residence and found the subject in fine shape.

The family was contacted and informed.

Members attended the community of Manor in response to a 911 call.

A dispute between a woman and her son was escalating, with the son intoxicated and demanding car keys.

The caller reported the son had left the residence, but the caller was worried about his safety.

Responding members located the individual, who was taken to cells overnight to sober up.

Members located a youth following a missing persons report from family members.

The youth had been gone two days, and members located the individual at a friend's residence.

Members took a report of mischief regarding a vehicle in the community of Carlyle.

The complainant was concerned the damage had been caused by a former romantic partner.

The investigation into the matter is ongoing.

A report of a hit-and-run was received.

The complainant had noticed the damage, but was unsure when or where the damage had been done.

A report was filed for SGI purposes.

A report was received regarding a break-and-enter at an empty commercial property in Redvers.

The matter is under investigation.

The Carlyle RCMP Detachment received a 911 call reporting the Carlyle RCMP Detachment as being on fire.

Responding members looked up from their work to see no smoke or evidence of fire, however gas was being flared from the propane storage facility next to the detachment.

It was assumed this flaring looked like the detachment was on fire from across the highway.

Members are investigating a report of an attempted break-in at the Carlyle Medical Clinic.

The lock on the door of the facility was noticed to have been tampered with.

The investigation into the matter is ongoing.

Finally, a file was opened for SGI purposes following a report of a deer/vehicle MVC on Highway 604.

The vehicle was left un-drivable by the collision.
