Between Oct. 19 and 25, the RCMP detachment in Carlyle received at total of 64 calls. Cases involving mental health issues, child welfare or other undisclosed matters will not be reported.

Oct. 19: The RCMP received a complaint of cattle on Highway 13 near Arcola. Members contacted the owner of the livestock who then removed it from the highway.

During a routine traffic stop, members noticed a shotgun in the rear seat of the vehicle. The firearm was loaded and the driver, a 21-year-old male, is now facing unsafe storage of a firearm charges.

Members received a 9-11 call about an erratic driver near Arcola. According to the caller, the driver was swerving and hit a ditch. The complainant could not provide a license plate number and members were unable to locate the vehicle.

Members received a 9-11 misdial from the Skyline Motor Inn. The caller was attempting to make an outgoing call from the motel.

The RCMP received a fraud complaint from a business in Arcola. According to the complainant, an internet company was attempting to charge the business $484.95 for services that were never rendered.

Oct. 20: Members received a call from an ambulance driver about an individual dressed in all black clothing walking in the middle of Highway 9. The driver had to swerve to avoid hitting the individual. Members attended the scene and charged a 28-year-old female with being intoxicated in a public space.

Members issued a speeding ticket to a driver for travelling 148 km/h in a 100 km/h zone on Highway 13 near Carlyle. The ticket price was $216.

The RCMP was notified about an alarm being set off at a business in Kenosee Lake. It turned out to be a false alarm and no further police actions were required.

Members received a complaint of an assault at a residence in the area. The incident allegedly involved two females in their 40s and alcohol was believed to be a factor. The incident is still under investigation.

Members received a 9-11 misdial from a residence in the area.

Members received a complaint of stolen property (clay earth) in the Manor area. The complaint is still under investigation.

The RCMP received a complaint of uttering threats in Carlyle. Allegedly, someone threatened to kill the complainant's dog. No additional information was provided.

Members received a noise complaint near Highway 13 at Forget. According to the complainant, semi-trailer trucks hauling gravel and en route to Stoughton were applying their air brakes excessively. Members advised the complainant that patrols would be sent to the area.

The RCMP received a complaint of mischief in the Manor area. A firearm was used to cause damage to a vehicle parked on a residential lot. Members attended the scene and found empty liquor bottles and evidence that the firearm used was a shotgun. Members determined that the complaint was connected to a report of damages to nearby CN property. No witnesses or suspects could be located and the RCMP has since closed the case.

Oct. 21: Members received a 9-11 call of an intoxicated individual causing a disturbance at a residence in Wawota. Before members attended the residence, they called back and were notified that the individual had already left. No further police actions were required.

Members issued a stop sign violation ticket to a 36-year-old male on Highway 9 at Carlyle. The price of the ticket was $230.

The RCMP received a report of vandalism to the museum in Kisbey. Damage was done to the museum's hand rails and steps. The incident is still under investigation.

Members received a complaint of an intoxicated individual wielding a knife at a residence in the area. Members attended the scene and charged a 26-year-old male with assault with a weapon and failing to comply with a probation order.

The RCMP received a report of a break-and-enter at the Carlyle Sports Arena. Stolen items included hockey sticks, and iPod, a ring and a small amount of cash. The incident is still under investigation.

Members received a complaint of an assault in the area. The complainant indentified local individuals fighting in a video posted on YouTube. Members advised the complainant that if the incident was consensual, then charges could not be pressed. The case has been closed.

The RCMP received a request from the Winnipeg Flight Information Centre to check the Carlyle Airport for a missing aircraft. En route to the airport, members were advised that the aircraft had been located and no further police actions were required.

The RCMP attended the scene of an oil tank truck rollover one mile east of Highway 604 and 1 mile north of Highway 13. Spillage was minimal and the driver, a 22-year-old male, was sent to hospital and charged with driving without due care and attention.

Members received a request to locate a 16-year-old male in the area. Members located the individual and reported him as being safe.

Members received a 9-11 call of an assault at a residence in the area. Members attended the residence and were unable to locate the complainant. Witness statements were obtained and photos of where the altercation took place were taken. The incident is still under investigation.

Members received a 9-11 call of an assault at a residence in Arcola. When members attended the scene, they found a male and female arguing on Highway 13. When the suspects spotted the RCMP, they fled south into a farmer's field where members detained them. The RCMP charged a 34-year-old male with intoxication in a public place and the female with a minor consuming alcohol.

Oct. 22: Members received a report of mischief in the area. A group of children under 12 years-of-age had smashed the windows of an educational complex. No charges were laid and the children were asked to write letters of apology.

Members received a complaint of mischief in Manor. Damage had been done to trees on the complainant's property. Members took photos of the damage and the matter is still under investigation.

The RCMP arrested a 50-year-old male for breaching a conditional sentence order. Members released the individual on recognizance.

Members issued a ticket to a 36-year-old male on Highway 13 near Carlyle for failing to wear a seatbelt. The price of the ticket was $175.

The RCMP received a report of a vehicle in a ditch on Highway 9 near Kenosee Lake. The driver had swerved to miss a deer and two individuals were sent to hospital with injuries.

The RCMP received a report of a grass fire near Forget. Members were notified that the Lampman Fire Department had attended the scene and no further police actions were required.

Members received a report of a vehicle with expired plates being parked on a residential street in Kenosee Lake for a prolonged period of time. Members are still trying to contact the owner of the vehicle.

An individual attended the RCMP detachment for a criminal record check.

The RCMP received a complaint of an individual spinning a vehicle in front of a residence in the area. Patrols were sent to the area and could not locate the vehicle. Information about the incident was recorded for future patrols in the area.

Members received a request to locate an individual in Carlyle. Members located the individual, a person of advanced age, at their residence and reported the person as being safe.

The RCMP received a complaint of uttering threats in Redvers. The complainant wanted the incident on record and no further police actions were required.

A Carlyle business owner reported found property to the RCMP. Members contacted the owner of the property who then claimed the item (a wallet) at the detachment.

The RCMP was notified about an alarm being set off at a business in Arcola. It turned out to be a false alarm and no further police actions were required.

Members received a report of a passport that was lost in Minot. The complainant required an RCMP file number in order to replace it.

Oct. 23: The RCMP received a mischief complaint at a residence in the area. Members attended the residence and removed a 26-year-old male who was intoxicated. Members brought the individual to his family home and no further police actions were required.

Members received a report of an abandoned vehicle with Manitoba license plates on the south side of Highway 13 west of Carlyle. The vehicle was not registered and members had it towed.

Members received a report of mischief in Carlyle. The complainant's fence had been damaged for a fourth time. No suspects have been found and the matter is still under investigation.

Oct. 24: At 2:23 a.m., the RCMP received a report of mischief near the Western StarInn and Suites in Carlyle. When members attended the scene, there was no one in the area and no damages were reported.

The RCMP received a report of mischief in Redvers. According to the complainant, damage had been done to the emergency stairway of the Redvers Hotel. The matter is still under investigation.

Members received a complaint of a trailer parked on private property. The complainant requested that members contact the owner. Members were unable to contact the owner and the trailer was towed and stored at Regal Auto Body.

At 7:32 p.m., the RCMP received a complaint of an oversized tanker truck heading westbound on Highway 13 with dirt covering its rear reflectors. The complaint was forwarded to the Weyburn detachment.

Members issued a ticket for disobeying a flag person to a 76-year-old male. The individual drove around a flag person holding a stop sign during traffic control for an accident at the Highway 9 and Highway 13 intersection. The accident was a tanker truck rollover and the driver suffered minor injuries.

The RCMP received a report of a motor vehicle accident on Highway 13, 10 miles east of Carlyle. The accident took place on Oct. 18 and was reported to the detachment in Airdrie, Alberta. The Carlyle detachment is waiting for the file to be transferred.

Oct. 25: The RCMP received an OnStar call about a collision involving a white tank that blew off a truck and hit the complainant's vehicle. Side airbags were deployed and the vehicle swerved into a ditch on Highway 13 between Arcola and Carlyle. No injuries were reported.

Members received a report a four males smoking marijuana outside of the Dairy Queen in Carlyle. When members attended the scene, the individuals had already left in a white GMC truck with unreadable license plates.

The RCMP received a report of a hit-and-run (cars only) on Main Street in Arcola. Members attended the scene and there were no signs or evidence of a motor vehicle accident.

Members received a complaint of either a moose or a deer being stuck in a dugout. The complainant was concerned that the animal might drown. An attempt was made to contact the Ministry of Environment but no one was available. By the time members had located the animal it had died.

Members received a report of a vehicle rollover on Highway 48, five kilometers east of Wawota. The vehicle was no longer drivable and no injuries were reported.
