Between Dec. 28 and Jan. 3 there were 36 occurrences the RCMP dealt with.

On Dec. 28 members were responding to a false alarm at a cabin in the White Bear Resort. En route the cabin owner called off the RCMP, but members came across a driver who had fallen asleep at the wheel, crossed the highway, and entered the ditch. The driver was charged with driving with undue care. There were no injuries from this incident.

RCMP responded to an alarm at a business in Wawota. Members attended and found the building to be secure and the alarm to have been false.

Dec. 29 saw a 27-year-old male arrested for driving while impaired. He was over .08 and will face charges.

The RCMP, EMS, and Fire Department attended Moose Mountain Provincial Park for a snowmobile collision. A 47-year-old male suffered moderate injuries when he was thrown from the machine. He was transported to hospital. No charges were laid.

Members attended an alarm at a business in the Carlyle area. RCMP checked the building and premises, but found everything to be secure. The alarm was false.

On Dec. 30 members responded to another business alarm in the Carlyle area. This one was also determined to be false after patrols checked the building and the perimeter.

RCMP and EMS attended another snowmobile collision in the Moose Mountain Provincial Park. One male was transported to the hospital for minor injuries. An investigation is still open, but it does not appear charges will be laid.

Dec. 31 saw RCMP called to a suspicious vehicle in the Carlyle area. Members attended and investigated. They located the owner and driver determining no offence had taken place.

RCMP were called to a Carlyle residence for a break and enter and theft. The victim suffered loss of property and the matter is still under investigation.

An alarm at a business in Kisbey was responded to; but, upon members attending they found the alarm to be false.

Members were called to a business in the Carlyle area for an intoxicated male causing a disturbance. RCMP attended, but the male had already left. The suspect was found shortly after not far from the business. He was arrested for public intoxication.

RCMP were called to a residence in Wawota where an assault had taken place. This matter is still under investigation.

On Jan. 1 members attended a two vehicle collision in Wawota. There was minor damage to vehicles and no one was injured.

A 26-year-old female was stopped for speeding and given a fine for $202 as she had been travelling 141 km/hr on Highway 9.

There was a call made about an impaired driver being on Highway 9 near Carlyle. Numerous patrols were made, but the suspect vehicle was not found.

There was a 911 hang up from a residence at the White Bear Resort. RCMP attended; however, they found that no one was at the house. 911 dispatch determined there was a problem with the phone line.

Jan. 2 saw members respond to a collision outside of Carlyle. A vehicle lost control on ice and entered the ditch. No one was injured and minor damage was done to the vehicle, no charges were laid.

On Jan. 3 RCMP were called to a business in Redvers as there was a person causing a disturbance. Members attended and spoke with the person present. No charges were laid.

There was a 911 misdial from a Carlyle business. Members responded to confirm there was no emergency.

A complaint of fraud was reported to the RCMP when the complainant received a fraudulent cheque in the mail with instructions to cash it. The cheque was false and is part of a common scam. The victim didn't lose any money, but the matter remains to be under investigation. The RCMP has also contacted PhoneBusters, the national anti-fraud center.

There was a two vehicle collision in Carlyle, which RCMP attended. One vehicle was not drivable following the incident and charges are pending regarding this matter.

A vehicle was stopped on Highway 8, south of Redvers, for travelling at 146 km/hr and the driver was fined $212.

There was also a complaint of theft on this date. A utility trailer was stolen and remains to be under investigation.
